Retail Survey Paper

Bursa Malaysia conducted an industry survey to examine the retail investment landscape in Malaysia. The market survey results will benefit various market participants in the following ways:

• Establish Key Strategic Focus Areas: Enabling Bursa to develop key strategic focus areas to address the barriers encountered by retail investors, promote financial inclusion, make investing more accessible, and preserve the retail investors’ interests in Bursa Products.
• Industry Reference and Guide: Generating positive discourse for industry participants to further develop and enhance product offerings that meet investors' increasing sophistication, needs, and preferences more effectively.
• Retail Investors’ Empowerment: Allowing the retail investors to understand the local retail participation in trading market products. The transparency of this information helps retail investors to understand the state of Malaysia's stock market and investing trends.
